This is a really emotional entry, but necessary as in a way to thank all the 15600 followers on twitter and the people that visit the blog daily. I'm sorry for typos.
Robert Pattinson Life is closing.
I, Mandy, didn't start this blog. It was created in 2008 by Michelle and in April (or May, I can't even remember) she invited me to help. That day I also started modding the livejournal community Pattinsonlife. Real life happened and Michelle eventually left. I decided to keep posting on RPLife.
I love this blog, I invested so much into it. I gave up a lot to keep it always updated. I tried my best to post what was important. Typing this entry right now is harder than I ever thought it would be.
If you are reading this, we probably have something in common. We are all here for Robert Pattinson. What happened didn't really damaged the site. Entries are still here. Yeah a lot of pictures are gone, but I can always repost them with time. The problem is that, to me, it was the tip of the iceberg. I try to stay away from drama in this fandom, but I see what is happening. All the hate, the fights, it shouldn't be like this.
That livejournal account was deleted because someone reported a few pictures (I don't know which pictures, since everything was deleted) and I really can't understand why. I'm sure everyone enjoyed them when they were posted, but the hate around here made a person, that probably saved the photo, file a complaint. When something that it was supposed to be fun starts being the reason I'm stressing all the time, I guess it's time to stop;
It has been a wonderful jorney. When I created the twitter account to link the blog to readers I never thought I'd get such a great response. To all affiliates, THANK YOU. To all followers and readers, THANK YOU. To everyone that supported the blog, THANK YOU. To all the friends I made during this time, THANK YOU.
There's so much we can be excited for. Breaking Dawn filming, the Eclipse DVD and commentary, Bel Ami, Water For Elephants and all the projects in Rob's future. The fact that I'm not posting anymore, doesn't mean I'll stay away. I'll be lurking and waiting to fangirl to all those things.
The entries in the blog will still be online, I wont delete them. They'll work as an archive for the posts that were lost in Pattinsonlife. I'm also leaving my place as a moderator there but the community will keep going with all the other great mods - A heads up, the reason the community is private is to keep the kind of people that did this to the lj account away. If you're not new to livejournal, you'll be accepted.

I've only recently come to this blog and it is now one of my favorites. The fact that it is closing sucks. There is no way that you can keep it open? I'm sure if you maybe make it limited or I don't know, or have more help or make it stricter for posts, perhaps could help?

Dear Mandy - JA said everything I wanted to say! I just have to add I was coming here before Michelle left, and I was so happy when you took up the torch and began running the site as it is the best! I am so sad and disgusted when people who claim to be a fan of someone can stoop to such a low level and make everyone else miserable. I know it's childish to say, but it's just not fair! This site is the only one I visit for news about Rob and the Twilight movies, and I have noticed how a few people were being behinds lately, which made me wonder how sane they were to be perfectly honest. I hope you know by reading all of these positive comments, which will probably break all RPL records in number, that all of your hard work has been appreciated by Rob's true fans! Mandy, I am extremely sad to hear this. I just decided to start commenting a little while ago. I visit daily and come on as soon as there is news and I also follow on Twitter. This Rob site is the greatest and I will be very lost without getting my daily dose of goodies. Every time when you shared new photos, interviews, videos, etc. I always had a smile on my face no matter what kind of day I was having. Thank you so much for giving us ROBsessed everything when it came to him. I will sadly miss coming here everyday. I repeat I will be lost. Good luck in all you do. I sm not sure what happened, but if it was caused by a few rotten apples, that that is truly a shame. This site was so up-to-date and loaded with Rob info. It must have taken a lot of your own personal time to do this. As you can see, sooooo many have enjoyed this place. It was my first stop every day for Rob news.

To all who made RPL the one site i woke 10mins early b4 work to come and see and to be never disappointed. As a user it´s easy to just click on your side an scroll through, but it must be oh so time consuming to keep it alive.
And if it just means work and stress to you, that really isn´t what it´s supposed to be for you, and I understand why you stop.

It is inconceivable that someone who probably enjoyed this site as much as the rest of us could've reported. This, as far as I'm concerned, was the best Rob site out there. I loved that you always had everything FIRST and that you stayed out of all the drama. I don't understand the need for drama. Aren't we all here for the same thing: to love and appreciate Rob and his work.
As usual, one rotten apple has spoiled the cart for all of us :(

It's a day of infamy for a blogsite to close down due to dramas created by some people. What kind of mentality do they have? Won't call them fans, because true fans won't do such malice/contempt for another.

I can't believe it I have been away and come back to this really sad news. This is the best Rob site by miles and the only one I visit on a daily basis, most of the people who write on here are true fans of Rob and Kristen unlike other sites. I shall really miss the great pictures and reading the sweet and sometimes hilarious comments. Thank you Mandy you have been doing a great job and we may not have always told you so but you have made a lot of us fans very happy. Although I left my comment here early yesterday after hearing this horribly sad news, I have also read every single one of the comments posted here so far.
And I realize I neglected to say something. In all my sadness, I forgot to also thank you for everything you have done for Rob's truly dedicated fans. I can't imagine all the hard work you have put into this site. I think a lot of us took it for granted that we could come here every day, several times a day and find the latest news about Rob and all the beautiful photos of him.
I, too, wish you all the very best. Selfishly, I do hope and pray that you reconsider and keep the site going. This is THE place to go for ALL Rob news without the drama and it was/is so appreciated.
I don't know how these sites work, but all I can suggest is perhaps moderating the comments or making it a members only site.

Just wanted to say thank you for all you've done for us. I can only imagine the immense amount of work keeping up with a site like this must take, and can surely understand the reasons you've decided to leave. I'm really sorry to hear it, as I've loved visiting this site every day. I could always count on getting the latest and greatest on our favorite man! I'm glad to hear all of the archives will still be here--maybe I can finally go back and read everything. In the meantime, I wish you luck, and know that everything you did was appreciated so much by Rob's many, many fans. Hi! I've never read this blog before, but I'm a real fan of PL, and I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am that all of this happened to you, and the blogs. I hope everything will work out for you, don't let an idiot with no respect for others ruin this for you, you've done a great job for a long time. I hope we'll see you again in the future.
Mandy can't u hand this over to someone else like u took the reins from another person who originally started this blog? At least give it to a couple of people to manage so that the site is within it's terms of contract. Also did u challenge LJ to ask them what exactly they found offensive? I saw no photos that would have been offensive to someone. Look if u need your rest or to take a break than do so, but we who have been loyal to the site would love the opportunity to see it florish again, it was the best site and maybe u can just watch it every now and then, just to be certain whoever is running it is doing it to meet your standards. I really wish u would reconsider either to keep it running or have someone else do it, I have seen people commenting saying they would volunteer. I miss the people and I miss RPL, I miss the commonality it brought to all of us from near and far. I know I am being selfish, but I hate to think of this actually closing, it meant so much to me and others, although I have gone on another site, it is not the same. Take care but please do consider other options before really closing this site, it is torture not to see all the lovely things u had about Rob on this site other than to say goodbye. There will always be haters but we the fans of your site will stand up for you and the site, because that is what people do and to challenge something if it is wrong, it may be a lot of work at first, but once u stick up for it, it won't be so easy the next time for a hater to try and shut down this site. We admire all u do for us and we in turn want to help the site in anyway possible to make it easier for you or for someone else who may step into your shoes but never fill them. That is all, I just wanted to plead one more time for you to continue or hand it to someone else, as a fan I want to know I did all I could do to keep the site going.

I have also beening coming back here every morning. This was always my first Rob site to check every day. It's just not the same. I miss it so much. I hope you are able to bring it back in the near future. I'm not sure I understand all the ramifications of what happened, but I'm sure you can see that you have a tremendous amount of support. I just wanted to thank you for all the hard work and time you've put into this blog. I come here very often to get my fix of Rob pics, and to get the latest news going on in the fandom.
Personally, I know how difficult it can be when ONE NARROW-MINDED IDIOT ruins it for everyone else. My only hope is that you do decide to come back and let them know that they cannot win.
