MSN's 2009 Fit Club: Rob made it

Apparently, flying around the forests of Forks, Wash., and hunting Bambi keeps a vampire in -- dare we say it? -- ageless shape. The "Twilight" star has a lot more going for him besides those dreamy eyes: a buff, lithe body. He told Entertainment Weekly that he went a bit overboard in preparation for his role as Edward: "I used to go to the gym for about five hours a day but then I started losing so such weight. My head started to look really huge in comparison to the rest of my body." Now he's back to just the right proportions.

Robert Pattinson: Why the hair was cut...

There’s a couple of reasons why we’re still stuck in the Twilight zone. Not only was the movie too awesome to forget, but it introduced us to the greatest boy who’s ever lived, Robert Pattinson. The 22-year-old’s superstar status was sealed recently when his new cropped hairdo generated more headlines than the conflict in Gaza. (To be fair it is more interesting). And eventhough the next instalment in the series New Moon focuses on Bella’s burgeoning relationship with werewolf Jacob, RPattz still plays a starring role in the flick which is slated for released around November 2009. In the meantime check out our interview with a vampire.
GF: Your hair’s shorter..
Robert: I cut it yesterday. I am a rebel. It’s one of those crazy things. The studio was always like “The fans don’t want to see you messy.” I’m like “I don’t care.” Then as soon as one of the fans said “I like how messy he looks..” they came back to me and were like “Okay, you have to be messy all the time. Never stop being messy.”
GF: It looked like a piece of sculpture.
Robert: That’s why I wanted to cut it off. As soon as people started calling it my “trademark.” It’s like, get rid of it.

Robert Pattinson: I Love My... Knit Beanies

At this point in the Twilight pandemonium, Robert Pattinson, 22, has millions of teen girls screaming at just the sight of him.
Therefore, the British actor has got to stay under wraps when in the public eye.
Robert usually maintains a lot of wild, crazy hair, so it’s only natural that he’d need a hat that’s flexible to keep his signature messy locks tucked under. (In this case of the above pics, it's probably the VOLCOM Volcott Men’s Beanie, which stretches to fit all sizes.)
In a recent interview with fan site Robert Pattinson Online, the actor was asked how long it takes to get his hair perfectly coiffed.
“It’s the funniest thing. I just wear a hat a lot," he says. "I have so much residue crap in my hair from years and years and years of not washing it and not having any sense of personal hygiene whatsoever.
"Even today, I go into these things where I’m supposed to be this sexy guy or whatever, and I’m literally asking [the studio rep] if I get plumes of dandruff on me, can you just brush it off.”
Ewwww! Thanks for sharing. Ironically, those confessions hardly do much to keep the girls away.So what did Pattinson learn from not washing his hair for six weeks?
“That it starts to wash itself," Robert says. "If you don’t wash it for six weeks you won’t have to wash it ever again. Until it gets unbearable."
Do you like Robert Pattinson's messy look? Hat or no hat?

Gossip Thursday

Rumors are rampant stating that Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron, and Justin Timberlake are being courted for roles in Ohio, the film based on the 1970 murders of anti-Vietnam War protesters at Kent State University.

Star Magazine is claiming that Timberlake, and Efron, are upset that Pattinson who is a newcomer in their eyes, has been offered a leading role - according to a tabloid spy.

“Everyone in the industry is shocked that Rob is already getting such big roles,” says an insider.
Zac and Justin have been working for a lot longer than he has. There is a bit of jealousy there. Zac’s people want him to have the lead. AndJustin’s people have asked that he get a lot of screen time.”

Robert Pattinson Channels Artist Salvador Dalí

Twilight star Robert Pattinson can't always play a vampire heartthrob.
In his next movie, Little Ashes, set in 1922 and described by Variety as an "arty Bohemian romp," the London-born actor, 22, plays Spanish surrealist painter (1904-1989) Salvador Dalí as a young man – in love with the poet Federico GarcÍa Lorca, played by Javier Beltran.
The two meet at university, with Lorca attracted to what the movie's production notes call Dalí's "bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism." Hey, beats a bite in the neck.Little Ashes opens in late March.

Bravo poster

Robert Pattinson (22)
Cool bedroom eyes, a light brown mop of curly hair...The sexy vampire of teenie flick 'Twilight' drives teenies crazy. Critics compare the young Brit with Jude Law or James Dean. And the best part: Rebel Robert is still single - girls, there's hope!

Rob get's New Moon script preview

Stephenie Meyer might have written the novel Twilight but it was Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart who made the movie such a big hit.

Their costar Edi Gathegi (who plays Laurent) seems to think that Robert is getting some special treatment.

Edi hasn't read the script for New Moon yet and told MTV half-jokingly: "I'm going to fire someone, because Robert (Pattinson) read it.

"He's like a supporting role in the freakin' film!"

Edi considered calling Rob during the interview to ask him to pass on the script but said: "Nah, he's in London now. I don't want to make any long-distance calls. I'm cheap."

It's such a shame that we won't be seeing Rob's character a lot in New Moon but his fans are hoping that there are lots of flashbacks of their favourite vampire.
