Twilight and Plaid Shirts on GMA News' 2099 Red Hot Dozen

4. The Twilight Saga. New Moon, the second installment in the film version of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series intensified the hold that shiny pretty vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) has on females all over the world. Alas, his fangs are only for Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who, in turn, is loved by werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Team Edward and Team Jacob members fought over who was the best match for the girl-next-door. Was it the yummy bloodsucker or the fine furry friend with the six-pack? While that all-important question has yet to be answered (at least until the next screen installment is shown), tons of Twilight merchandise—from shirts to action figures—have been sold to its most ardent fans.

6. Plaid Shirts. Fashion-conscious chicks sashayed in plaid boyfriend-inspired shirts in 2009. Plus, it didn’t hurt that Twilight’s Bella Swan seemed to have hooked her vampire sweetheart wearing the getup.

Peaches Geldof: Robert Pattinson is really intelligent

Peaches Geldof admits she has a soft spot for Robert Pattinson.

The socialite, 20, has bumped into the New Moon actor several times.

‘I'm really into R-Patz,' Peaches says. ‘I've met him on numerous occasions.

‘I was chatting to him about movies. He's really intelligent and he has surreal taste in movie directors.

‘People don't see that side of him because the Twilight thing has become so big.'

But Peaches says her well-publicised crush on Phillip Schofield is still going strong.

‘I'm never going to move on from Schofe,' she confides. ‘He always lies in my heart.

‘I have dreams involving him which I can't even go into.'

Will Rob attend the Golden Globes?

Will "Twilight Saga" stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner attend next month's Golden Globes?

The Dish Rag has it on good authority that it's a definite possibility.

And if they do, there's also a very good chance we'll see them afterwards at at least one of the five official parties that night. OMG, this is better news than Rob's unreleased photos!

There are five parties already confirmed to take place on Sunday, Jan. 17, inside the Beverly Hilton where the Globes are traditionally held.

And fledgling film company Summit Entertainment (yes, the "Twilight Saga" studio) has joined the ranks of the big studio parties being thrown at the hotel by Universal, NBC, Warner Bros, HBO, and Harvey and Bob Weinstein.

As usual, there will the infamous Instyle/Warner Bros bash down in the Oasis Courtyard.

And then there's the Universal/NBC/Focus fete, held high on the hotel roof overlooking Beverly Hills, followed by the always hot HBO bash at Circa 55, spreading out around the pool. Then there's Weinstein Company's celebration, traditionally held in the former Trader Vic's space.

But the big news is that distributor Summit Entertainment -- the folks who brought us the infectiously successful "Twilight Saga: New Moon as well as the critically lauded "The Hurt Locker" -- will hold its very first onsite Golden Globe party this year.

We hear it will be in the Stardust Room.

We're thinking at least a couple supernatural attendees will be mandatory.
