Robert Pattinson Still Filming in NYC

There are several online reports claiming that Robert Pattinson had wrapped filming on Remember Me in NYC at the end of last week. However, OK! can confirm that the Twilight hunk is in fact still in the Big Apple and is still working.

As recently reported by OK!, the producers of Remember Me had been going to extreme measures to prevent fans and photographers from finding out R-Pattz’s location on any given day. In fact, only a handful of people on the production knew when he was going to be on the set.

Sources on the set tell OK! that it’s generally believed that Rob will work through tomorrow and possibly Wednesday, after which he’s due back on the West Coast to promote New Moon with Kristen Stewart at Comic-Con in San Diego.

“Remember Me” a wrap for Robert ?

According to reports, filming for Robert Pattinson’s new film “Remember Me” has wrapped up Friday. If the reports are true, Pattinson will be in San Diego this week for the Comic-Con with his on-screen lover Kristen Stewart.

Some sources are saying that the filming of “Remember Me” wasn’t able to fulfill its original plan of a 35-day shoot (excluding weekends). Execs of Summit Entertainment has said that Rob will show up at the Comic-Con, but he could be pulled out of the event anytime since technically, the last day of filming for Remember Me is on August 4th, due to the interruptions of fans and papz in New York.

Once the film has made it to post-production stage, Robert Pattinson will have a two-week break before filming “Eclipse,” the third installment in the Twilight Saga, in Vancouver, BC. Summit has announced that Eclipse will begin filming in August 17.

So if you don’t see RPattz anywhere from August 5-16, don’t be too suprised. He successfully hid from all the mania after the filming of Twilight and he could do it again. That is, if he’s not scheduled to meet the cast and crew of his other 2010 film drama “Unbound Captives” or “Bel Ami.”

Twilight star Mike Welch (he plays Mike Newton in the film) appeared in an episode of Texas Walker Ranger back in 1999.

Well, of course we HAD to ask him the obvious questions about the seemingly invisible Chuck Norris and our favorite sparkly vampire Edward Cullen:

Who smells better? "Robert Pattinson...he smells like heaven."

Who has a better beard? "You gotta go Chuck Norris with the beard. Nothing beats that thing."

Who looks better in tight jeans? "That becomes a matter of taste at that point because you can’t beat Walker in a tight pair of pants, but Rob… I guess I gotta go with Rob [laughs]."

Who'd win in a fight? "I have to go with Edward Cullen, although you know Walker was pretty invincible, but I don’t think that Walker’s fractured slow-mo could save him against Edward. In fact, in real life Rob’s no slouch in the ring. He could take somebody, but Chuck, I don’t quite think so."

Extra Tweets About NM Set

A few lucky extras have been giving reports on various blogs and sites. Here is a very good minute by minute report on Twitter by user BellaFira who was lucky enough to get a job as an extra.

* Rob was shirtless for several takes. That boy has been working out. Made our knees weak. Everyone was doing their best to stay calm

*Tall, lanky, ripped and vampire white. Yummy! Rob got embarresed when the extras started cheering once one take was done. It was endearing

*In fact we cheered after every take of the shirtless scene. We cheered even louder after the take of kristen jumping his bones!!!

*Day started at 3:45am. It took until 10 to dress 1200 extras. The crew was really organized, but it was a ton of people

*They put me in a bad spot at first, but I ended up in the perfect place for kristen to bash into me on the way to the fountain.

*For be such a wee thing that girl can kick butt. She really shoved me out of the way. I am thinking of naming the bruise she left

*The guy behind rob in the shirtless pick was there to prevent him from falling backwords as kristen runs into him. Did I mention how strong

*Kristen is The 1st take rob really stumbled(not very vampire-like) so they had to call in the reinforcements. he remained solid the nxt take

*no cameras allowed and I did not want to risk it. There are a few local apts on the square and we did see the locals in their windows taking pics

*it is just like the book but they r in a doorway not an alley. Ed steps out into the light(shirtless). He only sees bells after

*Kris was so bad ass that she did her own stunt work. They were going to use her body double to run through the fountain. Kris nailed it

*So many of the extras were women that they had us wear our hoods while men there did not. My cape was wool. On a hot day- not so great

* didn’t see anything that they are together. Kris kept on her own even when rob was on set. I saw them exchange a few words but that was it

*When the broke for lunch, rob was walking only 2ft away from me-sigh…..

*Yesterday I heard that the extras swarmed robs car when he arrived on set. The director got really upset so today people were not so crazed

*It did not stop us from being a bit giddly. Imagine 1200 extras cheering after the kiss shot. Rob left the set around 5 & I finished at 8pm.

*the cast keeps to themselves but the volturri guys seem to be doing autographs. We think that they have a scene tomorrow

*Rob is pretty much surrounded by body guys. (crew security) not a chance to get near him. Not surprised after Cannes. Poor guy.

Rob's role in Summit's new movie Remember Me seems more official. It looks like New Moon will wrap up production in May and Eclipse will begin in August.

Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including two new Summit productions - a romantic drama starring Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson and a generational love story set in Italy starring Amanda Seyfried.

Pattinson is starring in Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Allen Coulter, the award-winning TV director (The Sopranos, Damages) who made his feature debut with Hollywoodland in 2006, is directing the film and Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films (License To Wed) are producing.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn’t go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation’s Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay.

PEOPLE has an exclusive clip of the movie, which is set in 1922 and focuses on Dalí as a young man in love with the poet Federico GarcÍa Lorca, played by Javier Beltrán. Twilight star Robert Pattinson can't always play a vampire heartthrob.

In his next movie, Little Ashes, set in 1922 and described by Variety as an "arty Bohemian romp," the London-born actor, 22, plays Spanish surrealist painter (1904-1989) Salvador Dalí as a young man – in love with the poet Federico GarcÍa Lorca, played by Javier Beltran.

The two meet at university, with Lorca attracted to what the movie's production notes call Dalí's "bizarre blend of shyness and rampant exhibitionism." Hey, beats a bite in the neck.Little Ashes opens in late March.

Rob back in the US

Rob keeps a handle on a bunch of books as he lands at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon.

Rob kept on his dark sunglasses as shutterbugs surrounded him. Robert recently told reporters on the red carpet in London that while he is not actively looking for a girlfriend, the pick-up lines from his admirers have changed. He shares that he often gets this line: “Oh I’m such a big fan!”
