Why did Rob attend the Premiere of the LA Dance Project?

From Vogue

Like any great dancer, Benjamin Millepied knows how to make an entrance. For the world premiere of his new collaborative, L.A. Dance Project, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall Saturday night, the former New York City Ballet principal choreographed a lavish evening (together with cohost Van Cleef & Arpels) complete with an intimate VIP dinner, a boisterous after-party, and even a Robert Pattinson sighting. “I live near Natalie [Portman] and she invited me to come,” said the Twilight star, who chatted with fellow guests Dita Von Teese and Jaime King and gamely posed for fan photos.

Rob at the Van Cleef & Arpels Dinner for LA Dance Project - Sep 22

Want to know more about the L.A. Dance Project? Click here and here.

From The Hollywood Reporter
Before a crowd that included Dita von Teese, Chris Evans, philanthropist Wallis Annenberg and Robert Pattinson (drinking Coronas and using an electronic cigarette), Millepied's L.A. Dance Project company performed three pieces, including a new piece by Millepied (with costumes by Rodarte) and a dark, shadowy work by the late legendary choreographer Merce Cunningham that had not been performed in 50 years.

(...)

Portman and Millepied, plus von Teese, Pattinson and around 120 other guests, attended a pre-performance dinner at Disney Concert Hall sponsored by Van Cleef & Arpels and then all hung out for the after-party in an event area off the main lobby. Pattinson -- who is friends with Portman and Millepied and is said to live near them in Los Angeles -- told THR that he loved the performances but can't see himself ever dancing in a film: "I was inspired but I know my limitations." If he'd had to dance for a role, "I wouldn't have gotten it."

From @KTLTran
For all the Robert Pattinson fans: he's wearing Gucci and drinking Amstel Light @vancleefarpels dinner tonight at Disney Hall

Movie Synopsis:
From director David Cronenberg (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, DEAD RINGERS, THE FLY, EASTERN PROMISES) and based on the prophetic novel by Don DeLillo, comes COSMOPOLIS, a contemporary thriller that turns into a wild, hypnotic odyssey through our new millennium’s obsessions with power, money, control, information, technology, violence, sex, mortality, revolution, destruction and ultimately, redemption.

Unfolding in a single cataclysmic day, the story follows Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson) – a 28-year old financial whiz kid and billionaire asset manager – as he heads out in his tricked-out stretch limo to get a haircut from his father’s old barber, while remotely wagering his company’s massive fortune on a bet against the Chinese Yuan. Packer’s luxe trip across the city quickly becomes dizzyingly hellish as he encounters explosive city riots, a parade of provocative visitors, and is thrust into a myriad of intimate encounters. Having started the day with everything, believing he is the future, Packer’s perfectly ordered, doubt-free world is about to implode. Produced by Paulo Branco and Martin Katz, COSMOPOLIS also stars Juliette Binoche, Sarah Gadon, Mathieu Amalric, Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, K’Naan, Emily Hampshire with Samantha Morton and Paul Giamatti. COSMOPOLIS will be opening in New York at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema and the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center on August 17th.

Rob, Kristen, Mackenzie and BD2 Cast Confirmed To Attend Comic Con - Press Conference at 11AM PST

Edward Cullen and Bella Swan have a lot on their plate at the moment, not the least of which is making sure their newborn daughter Renesmee is kept safe from the incoming forces of the Volturi. (Can't someone just explain that she's not an immortal child? Feels like a simple, diplomatic exchange might spare everyone some bloodshed, no?) But even with a very busy schedule on their hands, your favorite vampires and their closest friends would never leave you hanging where Comic-Con is concerned.

Consider it official, then: Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are coming to Comic-Con! Summit Entertainment announced today (July 3) that the on-screen Edward and Bella will be at the San Diego show for a "Breaking Dawn" press conference held at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Thursday (July 12). Start lining up now, "Twilight" fans!

Joining Pattinson and Stewart are plenty of your other favorite "Twilight" stars, including Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz. Also along for the ride is newcomer Mackenzie Foy, starring in "Breaking Dawn" as young half-vampire Renesmee
.

Directed by Bill Condon, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" brings the epic love story of Edward and Bella to an end. After numerous fits and starts in their romance, the two are now married and the proud parents of little Renesmee. Not only is Bella a new wife and mother, she's also a new vampire, too; Edward turned her during childbirth, saving her life in the process.

But what should be a very happy ending has a very serious hurtle to overcome: the Volturi have been lied to, and they now believe that Renesmee is an immortal child, a highly volatile and uncontrollable form of vampire. Dead set in their beliefs, the Volturi are coming to kill baby Renesmee — and the Cullens must stop them before it's too late.

"Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" hits theaters on November 16, 2012.

The' Breaking Dawn - Part 2' Panel will be at 12:45PM PST (info here)
