3rd September 2015
The Global Goals campaign was announced today with a bid to reach 7 billion people in 7 days with news of the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. This unprecedented effort is supported by a variety of campaigns including action/2015, Global Citizen and Project Everyone.
On 25th September at the UN, 193 world leaders will adopt the Global Goals, a series of 17 ambitious goals to end poverty, fight inequality & injustice and tackle climate change for everyone by 2030. The Global Goals campaign aims to both make the goals famous and to
push for their full implementation. If the goals are famous - if people care about what hasbeen promised by the politicians, it greatly increases their chance of being implemented.
So today the campaign along with the UN is calling on everyone to help make the goals famous and ensure they become a reality:
• Add your voice to a cast including AR Rahman, Ashton Kutcher, Bill and Melinda Gates, G.E.M., Gilberto Gil, Jennifer Lawrence, UN Messenger of Peace Lang Lang,Meryl Streep, Malala Yousafzai, One Direction, Her Majesty Queen Rania AlAbdullah of Jordan, Richard Branson, Robert Pattinson, Robert Redford, ProfessorStephen Hawking, UN Messenger of Peace Stevie Wonder for the crowd sourced film We the People written by Richard Curtis and Mat Whitecross and unveiled on the Google Homepage when the Goals are adopted on the 25th September. wethepeople.globalgoals.org and available in the Video Library at www.globalgoals.org/media-centre

i have been his fan since 2008 and in all those years he has never done even one thing to make me question his character and reading something like this just makes me love him more and more! so proud to be his fan <3
I feel exactly the same Andrea, well said :).
I agree, Andrea. Rob makes it easy to be his fan because he's never done anything to be ashamed of. He's the most decent, stand-up guy, quietly doing things to make his fans proud, like this charity and the Red Nose Campaign, and all the sick and disabled children he meets with whenever he has a premiere.
It's also admirable to see how sane and down to earth he's remained after the years of intense scrutiny he's been under by the media and fans. No meltdowns, no acting out, no arrests, no getting into ridiculous exchanges with the paps, he always shows class and poise, remaining sure and steady, unlike so many of his peers who couldn't handle their fame and success with such a cool head.
I agree ladies and I attribute a lot of that to two people, Richard and Clare Pattinson for raising such a well grounded son.
May Allah bless you more more more more more more ....and bless them too ..,
Hey ladies .., he is my Pattinson .., I proud of you darling .., may you live long .., wish you all the very very best of luck .. In Shaa Allah .. You will be able to do this .., love you ..love you most .., love you most forever ..
I totally agree with you live guest, his mum and dad did a wonderful job raising he and his sisters Lizzie and Vickie and they are very loving and accepting of their sons choices in his life and career and are very proud of their future daughter in law as you could see from their support of her in Manchester.
