great interview. thank you RPL. i just love hearing that rob is still the same sweet, down-to-earth and just overall likeable guy. he never turned into an arrogant, selfobsessed guy that just loves to talk about himself. it also sounds like he is really happy which just makes me happy for him.

I love that Rob feels good about being at home these days, but even though the interviewer seems convinced he moved back for his fiancee' I'm pretty sure he also moved back because he's a British patriot, dyed in the wool Englishman thru-n-thru, he will never give up his British passport for an American one in a million years.

I would agree, he is a true English gentleman.

He said a lot in this one. Good read.

Of course he's totally British, but it's pretty clear he's spent time in London because Twigs is based there. They flew to London last December together and were there until he had to go off to Budapest to film TCOAL and then the Berlin film festival. He went right back to London to be with her and was there until he had to go to LA (probably for meetings with directors), and every free moment he has he spends in London with Twigs.

He's said he loves the warm weather in LA, so it's got to be a good reason for him to winter in the UK (he said he hates cold weather when asked about his preference for filming in the desert for QoTD vs. the cold in Toronto.)

I'm sure he is happy to get back in touch with his old friends and of course his family. We just saw pics of them all at dinner the other night, Rob's Mum must be so happy to have him based in London again. I'll bet his full on British accent is back!

Of course he's there to be w/twigs, but he also lives w/Tahliah in LA in the Hollywood Hills home, it's THEIR home together not just Rob's home, she did say she is now the Alpha female of HER household in Complex magazine, and they both speak very positively about having children so despite b.s. webloids claiming the wedding is off, that couldn't be further from the truth and Rob even mentioned in an interview about buying a home in England to raise his children when ever he has them so I'm pretty sure England will be he and his spouses home base once they are married.

I agree, they will settle down in London when they get married and have kids, but they've really spent very little time in LA, just a week here and there, although we know she got that place furnished, since we saw them shopping at decorator stores and at the flea market, buying that big lamp.

Rob managed to make a small profit when he sold that house in Los Feliz, and property can be a good investment, so having homes in two or three cities can be a good idea for them. But I think he's stayed in London because it's easier for her career at the moment, to be headquartered there. He can live anywhere when he's not working. He doesn't need to be in LA to work, he's only worked on 2 films there, for about two weeks total (MTTS and Life).

It's no wonder he's been saying how happy he is in London in all the interviews he's been doing, he's been able to reconnect with the Brit pack and see his family whenever he wants. Now that he's getting older and ready to get married and have kids, he wants that closeness with family and friends again. His 20s are almost over, I think he's really getting into the "nesting" years, lol.

I just love how Alesia and Marilyn have the true inside scoop on all aspects of Rob's life!!

They are just saying it the way they are seeing it along with some of the rest of us Marsha. Each to their own opinion, right? I would think Rob had an incentive to move back to London since he loved living in the LA climate.

That's correct live guest. Each to their own and what they see. Remember that next time someone gets mocked for their comments. Fair is fair.

I completely agree @goofy and gus

andrea samson said...

i hate that people can`t stay on topic...rob didn`t say one word about twigs in this interview so why bring her up? not everything is about their relationship...

@goofy and gus for me it is not your opinion on their relationship that bothers me it`s your opinion about rob that bothers me.

The reason some people must always bring up his relationship status I believe is because they can't separate their personal desire for Rob from their own lives so they must keep something irrelevant popular. Rob doesn't talk about, so some people feel the need to create what they want Rob to be doing, even though they have no clue because the man will forever say nothing about his private life because it's no one's business. If the majority didn't mention his relationships like it's his most important factor, it would a less crazy world.

@OpenID bdbfbed6-0204-11e5-86cf-4b160f7fb3d4 i mean i have no problem with people who like them as a couple. if there are pics of them together or he talks about her or she about him then yeah comment about it but when the topic is just about rob why the need to still talk about their relationship or her? i mean i know there are rob fans that really don`t care about her or their relationship and when they complain about her in posts that are clearly about both of them, i always tell them to just skip those posts if they don`t like her. but on the other hand fans that love them together should do the same and stay on topic on posts that are clearly only about rob. why is that so hard? i like twigs too and i am happy for rob but i have no problem if people don`t like her or them together as long as they are respectful (the disgusting racist can go f*ck themselfes)

Well Andrea, I think that will be a lost cause because some people don't have proper etiquette on here. And I don't think anyone is racist by saying they dislike someone unless the reason they dislike them is because of their race. If they don't like the way a person dresses or the fact they drive a BMW or eat Taco Bell is fine and dandy, we are entitled to those opinions, but to dislike someone because they are black or white, that is disgusting and they need to go away.

Alesia Breen said...

The interviewer brought the subject of his girlfriend up,and yes their are serious "Demons" who hate people because of the color of their skin or religion or sexual persuasion, let's not be naive about etiquette dears Rob knows there are racist haters of the woman he loves out there and yes I will discuss that with whomever is wanting or willing to discuss it w/me, for I have lived w/years of racism having married a white man myself 25 years ago and unfortunately Rob and Twigs will have to get use to it.

RobKrisKitchentable said...

Yes unfortunately the nasty and racist comments won't go away but I think social media are to blame to a certain extent for not taking a tougher stance on bullying/harassment. Even the guy that tweeted a sighting got harassed by the basement demons.

live guest said...

It doesn't make any difference what woman Rob would be with for the demons will hate any woman who is not his ex. They can hate on T a little more since she is half black Rob saying T was an amazing, amazing artist shows what he thinks of her and that is all that matters.

I was responding to a comment by Alesia Breen, and as far as Twigs not being mentioned in this article, are some of you blind? There's a huge photograph of her, and she most certainly is mentioned in this interview, and in most of the interviews we've seen in the past two weeks. She's engaged to Rob, of course reporters are going to mention her.

bdbfbed6-0204-11e5-86cf-4b160f7fb3d4 has some very odd ideas. Where do you possibly get the idea that some people "can't separate their personal desire for Rob from their own lives"??? That doesn't even make sense.

I have no "personal desire for Rob." He's an actor, not someone I'm going to meet or hang out with. I'm a fan of his acting and his personality, he seems like one of the good guys. I'm happy he's engaged to Twigs because he seems happy about it. Fans of his are going to discuss her, the same way fans of George Clooney discuss Amal. It's normal. What isn't normal is to pretend like he doesn't have a personal life and that Twigs doesn't exist.

It's also not normal to freak out and make a big deal out of it when fans do discuss Twigs. She's a huge part of his life, it would be odd to ignore her, since he's spent so much of the past year with her, and she's the main reason he's been in London for so many months.

live guest said...

Well said Marilyn and to the point.

Alesia Breen said...

Yes Marilyn and live guest, bdb and others would like us to pretend that twigs has nothing to do w/Rob and that all we are supposed to talk about is his film career and nothing else, but if you limit a human being to just what he does for a living and not who he is as a person you're only getting a small sample of the man, and they really just want to pretend their fantasy boyfriend is still single and available to them, as if they would seriously have a snowballs chance in hell of attracting him.LOL
