Robert Pattinson, who plays the part of Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga, is known for his modesty - a trait that he's maintained even after becoming the biggest star of the century.
Self described as a "loner," Robert Pattinson told Life & Style, "I wasn't with the cool gang or the uncool ones. I was transitional, in between."
A former classmate dished on Pattinson, "Rob had a very, very big grin on his face constantly and was always cheeky in class. Everyone liked him, though. He was a popular kid."
As with many success stories, time is of the essence and Twilight was just the outlet for Robert to showcase his talents. His aunt said, "His career seems to have evolved very quickly - he was at the right place at the right time."
"Rob has wanted to be an actor for as long as I can remember. We're all hugely proud of him."
Robert Pattinson is currently in Vancouver, British Columbia filming New Moon, the second film in the Twilight saga. The film also stars Kristen Stewart reprising her role as Bella Swan, Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black and Dakota Fanning as vampire Jane.
