Rob will appear at the 2009 VMAs
Cast -- including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner -- to appear on show.
You probably thought we were done with the blockbuster 2009 Video Music Award announcements. After all, we'd already hit you with news that Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift would be performing live at the at the September 13 show. But guess what? We're about to drop a pop-culture bomb of OME proportions.
"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will appear on the show to debut an exclusive expanded trailer for "New Moon," the second film in Summit Entertainment's vampire saga.
We'll repeat that slowly for you: Fresh "New Moon" footage. Pattinson. Stewart. Lautner. Boom!
The film's first trailer was debuted during this year's MTV Movie Awards, and now the 26th annual VMAs are shaping up to be another bonanza for devoted Twilighters. On the day of the show, MTV.com will debut the first single off the "New Moon" soundtrack, the Death Cab for Cutie tune "Meet Me on the Equinox." Based the second book in Stephenie Meyer's supernatural series, "New Moon" is set for release on November 20, while the soundtrack drops on October 13.
Airing at 9 p.m. on September 13, the Russell Brand-hosted VMAs will pit Lady Gaga against Beyoncé, as each pop star has nabbed nine nominations, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video. Britney Spears has garnered seven nominations for her "Womanizer" and "Circus" clips in categories like Video of the Year and Best Pop Video. Kanye West, Eminem and Coldplay received four nominations each.
Additional performers include Green Day, Pink and Muse. Among the evening's presenters are Katy Perry, Nelly Furtado, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford, Ne-Yo and Miranda Cosgrove.

Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson: Totally Not Engaged
It doesn't take a publicist's statement to refute this tall tale. OK!'s new cover story does the leg work for us.
The tabloid's front claims Twilight costars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have recently moved in together and are engaged.
The article, however, says nearly nothing of the sort.
"If Kristen is looking for Rob, she'll say, 'Has anyone seen my husband?'" an insider supposedly tells the mag. "And Rob loves to say 'Have you met my lovely wife, Kristen?' It's cute. They're like a couple of love-struck teenagers."
Something tells us that being "like a couple of love-struck teenagers" has little in common with a pair about to exchange "I dos." "Spending nights together in Rob's suite" in Vancouver is hardly cohabitating too.
Robsten fanggirls eventually will get their wish. (Spoiler alert!) Bella agrees to marry her favorite vamp in Eclipse, and they tie the knot in Breaking Dawn. But, for now, we highly doubt reality is that close to fiction (especially with K.Stew in that lovely wig).

Robert Pattinson to appear on The X Factor?!
He may come across as all cool and edgy and alternative, but it turns out that Robert Pattinson likes nothing better on a Saturday night than putting his feet up and watching The X Factor.
The Twilight heartthrob is said to be a huge fan of the show, and does he best to watch it even when filming over in the States. Judge Dannii Minogue heard about all this, and she has now offered the actor a special invite to come and meet the judges and watch the show live. Nothing to do with the fact that's he's HOT, then.
A source reveals, "Rob is a massive fan of The X Factor. He'd love to meet the judges and hang out with them backstage, so he's thrilled with Dannii's offer." As we all know, RPattz is something of a musical talent himself. Maybe he could even be persuaded to do something live on stage. Now that really would get worldwide attention.

Devoted readers of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga know that Eclipse is the volume in which conflicted vampire Edward Cullen and reluctant virgin Bella Swan finally get engaged.
That means, of course, that at some point on the Vancouver set of the novel’s big-screen incarnation, Robert Pattinson will whip out a ring and ask real-life love Kristen Stewart, “Will you marry me?”
Life might just imitate art.
As if their millions of fans collectively willed it — the blistering-hot young actors are truly, madly, deeply in love. So much so that, as OK! reported last week, they’re spending nights together in Rob’s suite. And things have gotten so serious that on-set sources say the young superstars are even playing up their romance on set.

But since that public PDA, they’ve been sneaking around after dark like — well, like a couple of vampires. “There are those subtle pats and glances on set, but they save the real kisses for after the sun goes down, late at night, when you see them disappear into their hotel,” another source tells OK!.
Why so shy all of a sudden? To paraphrase another sprawling screen saga (The Godfather): It’s business. Twilight’s producers have told Robsten to keep their love on the down low — at least until after the November release of New Moon, the second film of Stephenie Meyer’s series, in which Bella gets involved with hunky werewolf Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner.
It’s all about suspension of disbelief. The studio bosses “fear that if a romance between Rob and Kristen is confirmed,” the insider says, “Twilight fans won’t buy into the screen chemistry between Taylor and Kris.”

Robert Pattinson nearly "lost it" earlier this year. The 'Twilight' star admits the pressure of fame made him "really paranoid" until he realised he was just going to have to "accept it".
The 23-year-old star explained: "I was getting really paranoid. But then I realised that if tomorrow I say, 'OK, I've had enough we're stopping everything,' it won't change anything.
"Might as well try to accept it and stay Zen as I have no control over it. It's not always easy. But whining won't change anything."
Robert had no idea how famous he was until he was mobbed by screaming fans at the Cannes Film Festival in February.
He told France's Premiere magazine: "I was in a restaurant during a break, and when I came out two hours later, 500 people were waiting for me at the exit.
"It was total chaos. But I'm sure that if I'd said to one of those girls, 'Come on, let's go have breakfast,' she would have been totally embarrassed and would never scream my name again."

He says it wasn’t always as easy as he’s recently been making it appear,in fact he used to get quite frustrated with it.
He commented on one experience,saying, “I was in a restaurant during a break at Cannes, and when I came out two hours later, 500 people were waiting for me at the exit,” he tells the magazine. “It was total chaos. I’m sure that if I told one of those girls ‘come, let’s go have breakfast,’ she would have been totally embarrassed and would never scream my name again.”
