This is an amazing blog. Though I am not on the trip, I feel I am learning so much looking at the pictures and reading the summary of each day and the comments posted. For a guy who doesn't smoke many cigars you have a great collection. As you know I like collecting these boxes too. Great idea for a still life when the weather is crap. I also like the sense of light and strong composition.

fabulous work Stefan!!! Drawing is spot on, and I love the colour harmonies in all of them. I don't know if it is the sitting couches in these paintings or the older word feel of the museum room.. but these really remind me of some great victorian/edwardian interiors done by painters like Merrit Chase and Duvenek.
