More Info About The International Medical Corps' "First Responders"

Back in August we first posted about Rob's involvement with The International Medical Corps as a "First Responder".

Earlier this week Sienna Miller, Global Ambassador of the organization, attended the International Medical Corps' cocktail reception during the Clinton Global Initiative to officially announce a "new “First Responders” commitment to assist communities in becoming their own first responders in emergencies and natural disasters."

From the IMC's press release:

September 24, 2013 - Los Angeles, Calif. – As part of its 2013 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment to Action, International Medical Corps President & CEO Nancy A. Aossey and Global Ambassador Sienna Miller will announce a new “First Responders” commitment to assist communities in becoming their own first responders in emergencies and natural disasters. Over the next two years, International Medical Corps will commit to scaling up its successful “health care through training” model, to prepare families and health workers in Africa to better cope with recurring emergencies such as drought, food insecurity or seasonal flooding.

As part of the First Responders commitment, Miller has brought together actors and public figures who have agreed to use their public platforms to raise awareness about the need to strengthen communities before disaster strikes. Current celebrity First Responders include: Global Ambassador Sienna Miller, along with Jamie Bell, Cary Elwes, Ben Foster, Chelsea Handler, Ben Harper, Keira Knightley, Jude Law, Kate Mara, Jaclyn Matfus, Robert Pattinson, Eddie Redmayne, Tom Sturridge, Mario Testino, Anna Wintour, and Robin Wright.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, 'Queen of the Desert' producer Cassian Elwes talked about the current status of the movie. THR mentioned in one of questions of the Q&A that Naomi Watts and Rob were no longer attached to the project and Elwes commented about the casting issues. Here's that part of the Q&A:

With Naomi Watts and Robert Pattinson dropping out of Werner Herzog’s Gertrude Bell biopic Queen of the Desert, is the project dead?
It’s been in casting hell, but we feel like we are coming out of it now. I think we’re close to making an announcement.

ETA2: According to Deadline, Nicole Kidman is in talks to replace Naomi Watts, but Rob still stars in the movie.

In the past few months there have been many reports about the film. In August, director Werner Herzog talked about coordinating the actors' schedules being difficult (posted here), but didn't mention Rob and Naomi leaving the project.

We'll wait for that "announcement" to know more and keep you updated.

Nan Goldin's "Robert Pattinson 1000 Lives" - Cover (New #DiorRob Picture) + Release Date and Pre-Order Links

In a recent interview in Le Monde with the photographer of Rob's Dior Homme campaign, Nan Goldin, it was mentioned that she was working on a "mystery object that contains the series "Robert Pattinson" edited by Dior".

In that same post (here), we linked you to a pre-order link to Coffret Robert Pattinson-1000 Lives by Nan Goldin.

Now Amazon UK, Germany and France finally posted the cover of the book 1000 Lives (with a new #DiorRob picture) and a release date: November 13. We can't wait to take a look inside.
