Can you become the next Robert Pattinson?
Max: “It is a very lazy comparison, because Twilight was a phenomenon unto itself. Pattinson was chased down the streets of Paris before the films even came out. And he is doing well for himself. He has about five films with acclaimed directors lined up.
Jake: “A lot of people expect us to knock the Twilight cast. But Taylor Lautner is a really nice kid. Robert Pattinson, I couldn’t imagine the tremendous amount of pressure he was under — and he earned my respect when I saw him fight for certain projects. Water for Elephants is a great novel, the movie is what it was. That’s not his fault. That’s the risk; we’re the face of projects.”

I thought water for elephants was a great film, seen it a few times. Rob, christoph and reese were fab.
Great mentions. But Water for Elephants did fairly well, Rob's most successful outside of Twi... a little confused there.
It's comments like these that make me want The Host to fail. All these Twilight pretenders that think they are so cool. I've seen a few comments from casts of recent films that have been condescending and rather rude hidden in thinly veiled "compliments". They cna only wish for the Twi success or for a quarter of it's fan worship. I don't see much buzz for The Host, maybe it would do no harm for these guys to be knocked down a peg or two!
Jake, Jake, altough your films made less profit, you have the gut to say WFE didn't make well? Gah! Just lookae dafter you on imdb and boxofficemojo. You can't keep up with Robert .
Anyway for me there is no a "new Rob Pattinson". I'm satisfied with the 'old' one in new roles.
I agree with all of you who have already posted so far, imho, NO ONE CAN EVER COME CLOSE TO ROB, so don't bother trying!!! He wasn't trying to be like anyone else--he's genuine, talented & real AND he will stand the test of time!! <3
I'm lost here... What's The Host? And who are these people? Why is important what they say?...
Someone, please?
huger resect for max, WFe was a great novel , but the film was tone down to to suit the studio, its wasnt gritty as the novel . But Rob was great , Chris Watz was great
@Margarita Lopez, The Host is the novel outstide the Twilight Saga from Stephenie Meyer turned into a film and both those actors are acting in the film. Max Irons is actually the son of Jeremy Irons and Sinaed Cusack, both actors as well. I agree with you WFE was toned down and I saw no insult towards Rob but the film itself. I personally think they were praising Rob not critizing him. They were saying that WFE probably chose Rob so they could get more bodies into the theater to watch the movie. However, it did make a very mild profit but failed at the expectation of a bigger profit margin that the studio was expecting. I respect Rob working with these phenomonal directors to gain better acting skills and to challenge himself to become a more confidant actor as he did in Cosmopolis.
The Host is Stephanie Meyer's next new movie and I'm not sure but these guys must be in it..obviously,it's being compared to The Twilight Saga.
everyone wants a piece of Twilight or Robert lol... Max has his own "role model" at home. i used to think that Jeremy Irons had that extreme sex-apeal no one could beat/fake.. might be due to the kind of roles he has played. he still has it (as well as Rob does:) they all should stop Rob's-name-dropping, it will get them nowhere.
They were asked the question, they did not name drop Rob's name and they were both quite gracious about Rob, especially when they are promoting their own film. It is the interviewers who need to stop the comparisons, there is only one Robert Pattinson.
yeah, my bad :) i read the article yesterday and didn't remember who brought the question. i just can't stand all these comparisons, sorry.
No problem, it just seems a few are commenting that the two actors are pitting themselves against Rob. I did like your comment on Jeremy, he is such a fine actor.
Ah, ok... Thank you so much... Really had no idea about said Host, and honestly doesn't look that interesting, no?
Thanks! :)
Thank you soooo much!
So, technically I'm not missing much, right? Just S.Meyer hoping to be twilight-lucky again, and 2 guys not saying much, nor interesting...
Aghr! That got published before I'd finished...
Anyway... Not much that's important about this, is it? Is the novel good, by any chance? I kind of doubt it... :-/...
Thanks for the info!... :)
