THE FILM
You can watch the full Dior Homme 'The Film' there and all the secret scenes (click on the boxes on the timeline of the video)
You can watch the full video (and the secret scenes) on Youtube HERE on Robert Pattinson Life
MANIFESTO
Life is short,
break the rules
(they were made to be broken)
Forgive quickly,
kiss slowly
Love truly,
laugh uncontrollably
And never regret anything
that makes you smile
You are who you are meant to be
Dance as if no one's watching
Love as if it's all you know,
dream as if you'll live forever,
live as if you'll die today
GALLERY
Lots of new pictures on the gallery and the commercial's making of. (We posted all the new pictures in HQ and MQ HERE)
There's the page about Rob
Robert Pattinson is one of those rare actors who plays with elegance and a certain casualness, an obvious modernity.
Without any effort or posturing, he now projects a determined image, located at the intersection of one's dark seduction, his longing for authenticity and a desire for intensity.
He chooses today to move where he sees fit. Free to claim cinematic choices as daring as they are sharp.
He starts with identifying new artistic achievements, simultaneously as the Dior man enters a new era.
The meeting was inevitable ...
Filmed by Romain Gavras, he embodies a certain idea of masculinity against the current flow of ideas, such as his legendary seniors, Marlon Brando, James Dean, Paul Newman and Monty Clift.
A manhood where vulnerability makes their difference, and sensitivity their strength.
It seems obvious he inherited from all those who drove fast, loved hard and lived with the only rule to be free, against all odds.
And the page about Nan Goldin

ReplyDeleteWhy so hateful? This is a very tasteful ad. Is Kristen a prostitute because she did a fragrance ad? I am not a fan of hers but I would not call her a prostitute for choosing to do an ad. Even though I think her ads lack design and umpf I would not call the disgusting. I bet if she was in this ad with Robert you would be all over it and saying it was the best thing since sliced bread. You are just butt hurt because you can see that there is more chemistry i this one 5 minute film than there ever was in 5 films of Twilight. So take your hateful self and go somewhere else and play.

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that it's not about women buying this product it's about the men who would want to buy/wear this product. I know that there will be women who buy this product/buy it for their man, but it's about making a commercial that would make men want to wear the fragrance. (ie. If they wear this fragrance they may attract a girl as beautiful as the one in the commercial) which is for the most part a fantasy, but at the end of the day it's entertainment, it's a means to an end. Isn't that what advertisement is all about. It's about making a commercial that will draw the customers attention to the product, get them hooked into watching to the end. Hell, I've seen commercials for yogurt that have been sexy/risque, does that mean the people in those commercials are prostitutes too?
DeleteCan I just say this proves what I've always said about Rob he is pure class with a heart of gold. He's no longer the shy boy but a beautiful soul of a man. You cannot create class you either have it or you don't. Thankyou to Dior for recognizing what an amazing actor/man rob is and for bringing out the best of him.
ReplyDeleteHey RobstenCRO,
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but we have a few rules about how to comment here and the first one is: DO NOT BASH ROB.
Everyone has an opinion, some loved the ad (I did), others liked it, others didn't. You're allowed to not to like it. You're allowed to comment here that if you want to, but now like the way you did. Please be respectful and I won't delete your comments.

Hey Mandy,
ReplyDeletethank you very much. This is very nice that explained why you deleted my comments about ad.
I will say again, I do not hate Rob. Contrary.
And I expressed my opinion, which is different of all others opinion on this site.
Only because I think his life and his actions do not go in the right directions.
And I think is good to say to somebody for whom you care, if you think that he not doing some things well.
I know you are real fan from Rob, as also me.
I respect what you doing.
With best wishes.
P.S. Only can say freedom speak do not exist no where. Even not on blogs.
This is to say I agree with rostenCRO on this ad. I am not blaming Rob nor trashing him to disagree with his choice of this ad for his career. He has said he wants to get away from that Edward Cullen image of the most beautiful sexy guy in the world thing and this ad just continues it. He needs to take control of the content of an ad he signs for. Like Brad Pitt. Like Ryan Gosling. Like Andrew Garfield will do. Like Kristen does. This ad campaign is as cynical as John McCain picking Sarah Palin to run with him. Regardless of anything else about Sarah Palin he chose her because she's a hot looking woman. That's cynical. The ad is very retro and not in a good way. Rob has been turned into a "female" sex object in a way that a woman celebrity would not tolerate, so why should he. This ad is pitched at the lowest common denominator of his fangirls: the ones without careers, the ones very interested in sex, the ones still brainwashed by romance from the advertising industry, the fanatics who will buy Dior just because Rob did the ad. This is the height of cynicism. Please Rob don't do this again. Stop letting them use your beauty, talent, face and good nature to exploit you in ways your team should advise you against. A good fan will tell you the truth. That's what a good fan is for.
ReplyDeleteTo call someone a prostitute just because they do a perfume ad is to abuse the meaning of the word prostitute. There are many ways to do an ad like this. Kristen's ad campign was literary. First came the young girl turning into a woman. By using Florabotanica as she navigates this phase from girl to woman, she becomes dangerous, so the flowers have a sinister feeling to them. And this comes from Baudelaire's poetry from his book Fleurs du Mal (Evil Flowers or Flowers of Evil). It is a literary campaign rather than a cheap soft porn one as Dior did. It is appealing to the educated, artistic, creative woman who is a "dangerous plaything" as Nietzsche has called woman, which he says is why man wants her because he craves to play with danger and she is the most dangerous plaything. Poetic eh.Now Fleurs du Mal for Dangerous Rob? How can he resist Kristen with that perfume on her?
