The DVD is not coming out until December?? - damn - I thought it would be coming out sooner!!! I sure hope they do have Rob doing commentary - that was one of the things I loved most on the Twilight DVD, he was sooooo funny.
ReplyDelete@Summit, if u do read any comments on this site, I hope you have all the Bells and whistles on one DVD and not break it up like you did for New Moon. The deleted scenes, the extended scenes and any filming of the film should be on one DVD. I did not purchase NM for that reason. This is one person who will not be suckered into such horrible marketing practices. If more people boycott such a practice I assure you Summit will change that practice. I want it to be like it was for Twilight before Summit could squeeze every penny from it's fanbase.
ReplyDeleteiluvthemovies - I know both my Twilight and New Moon DVDs had more than one disk in the case. As a matter of fact, the Twilight case had 3 discs (I did not have BluRay at the time). Are you saying they sold New Moon in two cases? Which would be pretty low of them. I was under the impression that multiple discs were necessary due to volume.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, if they put every take of every scene Rob was in on a DVD I would probably buy it. Would have loved to see the take where Rob could not pick Kristen up, except for the fact he actually hurt himself - poor baby.
BTW - your profile states you work in Aerospace (so do I). Which company?
Ohhh! That would be so awesome! I hope this info is true! I looove their commentary so much. I wish I could get hold of Rob's Remember me blu ray audio-commentary as well. I guess I'm the only one left who hasn't listened to it yet. What a crappy country I live in, you can't buy anything here!!:((
ReplyDelete@JLC, iluvthemovies is saying that in order to get ALL of the goodies, you had to buy the DVDs from 3-4 different sources. Target had a version, Walmart had another version, etc.
ReplyDeletei was just thinking the other day...why haven't we heard anything about a commentary?? I will be SO happy if it's rob and kristen! we'll get to hear them giggle their way thru the thing.
VideoETA is a legit site. I used them for reference all the time when I was a DVD designer. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteJA - thanks for the clarification. I had forgotten about the different 'versions' for the various stores. That is a completely annoying practice.
ReplyDelete@JA thank you for clarifying that to JLC. It is very much appreciated. You know me so well.
ReplyDelete@JLC, yes I was in Aerospace, currently unemployed. I worked for ITT Aerospace Controls In Valencia California for over 20 years. Now I want to venture into something new. Oh yes, and JA is correct about what I was stating earliar about the DVD.
And top of that dvd issues, the summit didn't allow english subtitle on new moon dvd in my contry. it's so sad, because the subtitle helps english-learning for my 12 years old and of course for me too. A don't watch foreign films sinchronised. And don't mention that, that in Hungary there is no extended version, only the double dvd's version. I hope for X-mas we will have Eclipse too.
ReplyDeleteI really really hope Rob and Kristen do the commentary! They were funny in the Twilight commentary. And Rob was also hilarious in the Remember Me commentary. He has such a gorgeous voice and I love being able to hear his awesome mind at work. He is such a funny/smart/insightful guy. Le swoon!
