The star called Us from New Orleans on the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina; working with charity the St. Bernard Project, Lutz helped build five houses in seven days for the still-recovering city.
"We were working around the clock at 50 hours at a time in different shifts," Lutz marveled. "We got it done just in time. We had so many people come out and lend a helping hand. It was so touching.
He'll be back in Louisiana when Breaking Dawn begins filming in Baton Rouge. "I'm hoping to truck down and work with the St. Bernard Project [there] as well. Hopefully I'll be bring some other cast members too."

good on you Kellan,I think that was a great humanitarian contributions and keep up the good work,..well I'm not sure carpentry work(like hammering a nail)would be one of Rob's forte but hey he might surprise us all but I doubt if Summit would allowed anything like that for insurances purposes whilst Rob is in productions for BD 1/2..however there is always a talent Rob is excellent that he can use to contribute to a good cause such a playing the guitar.. I'm sure he'll find a way to be involved in any charitable work..perhaps he is already involved anonymously.!!:)
ReplyDeleteI think Rob would go except for the fact that the paparazzi would get in the way... Wouldn't mind seeing him shirtless with a tool belt swinging a hammer...yum!!
ReplyDeleteHey ! Rob can be "macho" :p
ReplyDeleteOhhh JLC you paint a very nice picture! I think rob can swing a hammer! I bet he has more talents then we know of.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Rob would love to help but, he wouldn't because he wouldn't want the effort to be hampered by the paparazzi that seem to constantly follow him. Maybe if there was some type of security in place, like when they secure a movie set. Paps still get some pics but, from a distance.
ReplyDeleteAnd I would love to see him shirtless with a tool belt on, swinging a hammer.....Mmmmm! Nice thought!!
Rob has two left feet, but his fingers can do the walking and talking. I think it would be wonderful if they showed him helping out. He may be out of his element, but with his huge fanbase, this could really help and support the cause that is still Hurricane Katrina relief. That would be priceless.
ReplyDeletelove his hair in this pic :)
ReplyDelete@ilovethemovies, great suggestion. If Rob can actually lend a hand in that project, thousands of fans would volunteer...
