Everyone is talking about whatever is going on between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Is that good for business?
Do you want the honest answer? I haven't even thought of it that way.
That's not the honest answer.
It really is. I honestly don't think of it in terms of business. It doesn't affect our core business at all. The thing I do think about is, Oh my God, I hope they stay together. Because it could be awkward on set in the next movie if they have a huge falling out. It's like, Wow, they have to portray this love story through two more movies. God, I hope they stay together; please stay together. That's what affects my day-to-day.
But you walk by newsstands and it's a publicist's dream: they are on every cover.
I don't feel it's out there anymore. Do people still report on it? If you look at people who have a stable personal life, the rags get tired of them. I think we're heading to that place where they are together and that's their life and we better find someone new to create drama out of.

did he just confirmed everything? or what?..
ReplyDeleteI think I want to see video of this interview. It sure sounds like a confirmation, but we all know how things can be taken out of context in a print interview. I don't get the feeling that they are really trying to hide anything, they are just going about their lives and don't feel the need to discuss their personal relationship with the world. I say good for them.
ReplyDelete"I hope they stay together" ... like.. for real? are you serious? .. srsly? xD
ReplyDeletehe totally confirmed robsten. asshole...if they wanted their relationship to be a public matter they would have confirmed it themselves. that's so suckmit
ReplyDelete@ Yaelfica..I have the same question as you!..wow !..a confirmation from ..is he a ceo in summit?..I'm all for them keeping their personal lives -private-..and I'm repeating the quote"I hope they stay together"..like for real!..omg!! AMEN to that!!just wish it was Rob and Kristen who confirmed they are together as a couple in real life not this ceo from summit!
ReplyDelete@twilightnan- Wyck does not work for Summit
ReplyDelete@ janna -thank you so much for the information.

ReplyDeleteTxtwihard I totally agree with you. Until I see it actually coming out of his mouth anything can get twisted around. It sure does sound like a confirmation.
ReplyDeleteI get the impression they are to the point they aren't going to ever come out and say "we are a couple". I know they are actors, but man, every time you see them together, the looks they give each other and the "Oh Kristen said this" or "Rob does that" phrases that come out of their mouth are just too "couply" not to catch wind of.
Wyck Godfrey is no better than Catherine Hardwick who discussed Rob's and Kristen's relationship to Newsweek. Don't they know when to keep their mouths shut?
ReplyDeleteI would think both of these individuals would know that Rob and Kristen do not want their personal life discussed and I believe most people including myself believe they are a couple. Rob and Kristen will let the fans know if they are in a committed relationship, until then it is nobody's business. I may discuss it with other as far as how cute they look together but I don't want any instrusive photos of them unless they welcome it.
I don't necessarily think this is a dick move from Wyck. I get the feeling that the people around them know they are together and it isn't a big deal. So him saying it in an interview is just like saying the sky is blue, so what. I think people expect them to come out with this big announcement and it just isn't necessary.
ReplyDeleteThe article also strongly suggests that Rob and Kristen's decision to keep their relationship the worst kept secret in Hollywood actually increases public scrutiny of them.
ReplyDeleteEveryone wants to be the one to document them holding hands or kissing. Their every move is commented on and scrutinized (did they arrive together? Leave together? Sit together? Eat together? Did they stay in the same hotel? Same room?, etc).
At this point, you come to the inescapable conclusion that this is by design. No, it's not a fake relationship, but it IS fake secrecy. As the TIME reporter said, it's a publicist's dream.
LOL... yeah, that's extremely unprofessional of him if this quote is correct. Basically confirming them? Even if everyone and their mom assumes it to be true that they are together, they obviously DON'T discuss it, so why should he?
ReplyDeleteGeez. Summit are idiots.
I don't think he is with Summit, but I do care about Rob and Kristen and I am so happy for them. Now people should leave them alone.
