  1. What?!!!!! I'm so sad about this. I was so looking forward to seeing him team up with Guy Pearce and Mia W again. This sucks!

  5. Koolhoven stated that no on was axed, just scheduling conflicts. Good that he had actors that could replace Rob and Mia quickly. Also, Rob could have had a love scene with Dakota and that would have been awkard for him being such good friends with her boyfriend, Jamie, or who knows, lots of things it could be. I support Rob in whatever he deciedes.

    1. Yeah, scheduling conflict, what schedule keeps Rob so busy? He had two films for the remainder of year...2-1=1. Kit Harington I'm sure isn't sitting around either. Something odd here. And we'll never really know!

  6. I wonder how it could be scheduling conflicts for Rob because, as far as I know, he's not working right now. He's not schedule to start anything soon, is he? If Brimstone is shooting now and he's not working, is that a conflict in scheduling?

Now is the time we need some of those folks who seem to track his every move for some aspects of his life to help us figure out his work schedule for this conflict :/ Oddly, they haven't been around lately.

  7. @LucilleBluth Yup, I was thinking the same. As far as we know, he's not up to anything, so scheduling conflicts really don't make sense to me. Especially after reading the producer's statement, I'm pretty mehhh about this whole thing.

"Kit Harington was so consistently passionate about the script that his enthusiasm and total creative commitment made him a must for the role which had been lined up by Pattinson."

I don't appreciate his shade, but that's just me.

  8. *her shade, oops! The producer is a woman.

  9. @LucilleBluth @jessica_kr well, we don't know nothing really. First, the movie is going to be shoot in two parts: one now in summer and the other one in winter. Rob's part was a small one, we don't know when he had to be in set. Maybe it wasn't now. Second, Mia dropped out of the movie for personal reasons. If Rob character was attached to hers, as it seems, maybe the fact that a new actress stepped in meant further schedules changes so the new schedule didn't work for Rob anymore (LCoZ or other things). I know this is all speculation, as everyone is doing right now. I'm just saying that because he isn't filming right now doesn't mean that they were indeed scheduling conflicts.

  10. Koolhoven on his twitter is stating that the producer did not say that. He also stated that he hated to see Rob and Mia go. There would be conflict for Rob since Brimstone would also shoot in the winter when Rob would be filming City of Oz. Maybe that is the scheduling conflict. Lots of tweets about what the producer was to have said. Maybe Rob told them that he was getting married and needed this time. Who knows, but we will eventually see.

    1. Exactly, scheduled, changed due to a wedding?? Doesn't make much sense to me. You don't schedule a wedding when you already doing a movie. Doesn't happen in Hollywood, or London.
Of course Rob should be able to explain, he said ever since Twilight that he will only comment about his movie career, nothing personal like is he even engaged? Twigs is, I guess, but Rob hasn't confirmed anything!

  13. Chill people. Actors drop out of film all of the time. Benedict dropped out of Los City of Z, Colin Ferrell dropped out of Cosmopolis, Jude L and Rachel Weiss dropped out of QOTD and so on. No big deal, Rob and Mia had their reasons. Maybe Rob would be too uncomfortable with Dakota if he had a love scene with her. Who knows.

  14. I agree, not that big of a deal when you consider how often it happens in movies. I'm just glad to see people on here talking about his career and movies!

  15. Can I ask, please, why is it so important to know his schedule, and figure out his "waverings"?...
I mean, it's not respectful at all, to treat him as something we got entitled to... He can do with his time whatever he wants!!
Life is not about being working 24/7 all year... And neither are priorities... The only, only one, who knows precisely what he is, and will be doing, it's him!!...
He could be enjoying a coffee on the couch, on the phone, at home, in meetings, anything and still be pleased and happy...
    Right?...

      I'll still watch Brimstone, though...

  16. Just imo but there's a load of Rob bashing going on atm and I think some are wanting to put the record straight to defend the move. Some think Rob needs saving because Rob is dating Twigs. Crazy.

  17. The way some "Fans" are talking about Rob at the moment makes him sound like he has had a lobotomy and needs a carer to look after him. dropping out of movies isn't rare it often happens. Rob is a smart intelligent and knows exactly what he is doing. We are fans who support him by going to see his movies, and really that is all he owes us and has never disappointed he is a very gifted actor.
As to why he has dropped out of "Brimstone"it is not our business, some fans think the town crier should be up on a hill with a fog horn yelling loudly the reason Rob was no longer attached to the movie so that the fragile little minds of some flaky fans will calm down.
Why do we think it is our right to know everything little thing about actors.
How would we feel if we were under the microscope 24/7 and strangers wanted to know everything about us, creepy very creepy, and yet we expect that from a famous stranger.

  18. Fans got so involved with the Twilight forever love after Twilight came to and end and wanted to keep it going, but when Rob and Kristen broke up, they couldn't handle their bubble bursting, so they keep this fan war going between them. It is such a waste of time and energy and hard to understand why they want to keep it going. I would have loved to have see Rob in this role, but he chose not to and I respect his decision. I have QOTD, LIFE, and COAL to look forward to.

  19. I don't see anyone bashing Rob so the scare quotes around fans seems awfully silly. People are speculating about his work and possible reasons for dropping out of the film. Honestly, the people who were questioning it seemed like they were questioning the honesty of the filmmakers, not Rob. It seemed to me they were questioning the reasons THEY gave, not Rob, who has said nothing.

I see just honest chatter among fans here, nothing worth getting worked up over.

  20. I was referring to Rob being bashed across the internet, not here.

  21. I believe Rob’s fans (whether they are Twilight fans or not) were in genuine shock when the news came out that he was no longer in Brimstone. They are already on set filming, so people assumed that Rob was there or was going to be there soon, so it was a shock to fans to find that role has been recast. As a fan of Rob you want to see him work and get great roles, and after having the rug pulled out from under them with Idols Eyes, we just want to see that the movie roles Rob gets are actually made. We also thought the Trap was going to be filmed a couple of months back and then that was moved to next year. I know as an actor your job involves promotions, interviews, meeting producers and Directors and reading scripts, but in the end and actor is an actor, because they love to act and apart from the brief time he spent on the COAL set, he has not made a film since early 2014. Rob himself seemed frustrated with the lack of work he had last year and said he didn’t want to have another year like that and wanted to be more productive, so yeah, I was bummed when I heard he was no longer in Brimstone. I hope Lost City of Z is a go ahead or that we get some other movie news soon. I am first and foremost a fan or Robs work.

  22. L Anderson I feel the same way.

  23. Didn't Rob film COAL at the first of this year for it wrapped March 1st. He has this film, along with QOTD and LIFE to come out this year. He would have had two more but as you see, extenuating circumstances got in the way of IE and Brimstone through no fault of Rob's. Is it necessary that he has to do six or seven movies a year? That's a whole lot for anyone. Some actors do only one or two movies a year and still stay in the loop. Rob is a smart guy and manages his career the way he wants and I think we all should respect his choices. I regretted that he was no longer attached to Brimstone, but I wasn't shocked. This happens to actors all of the time.

  27. @Barbara I have no idea what they meant by the statement they released. It could have been very innocent. Its hard to know what they mean, without knowing what went on behind the scenes. It could very well have been Rob's decision to leave, but I think its going to be one of those things that we'll never know.
