  1. I hope more people will appreciate this movie now that they can rent it. It is a gem of a movie and it will really be appreciated generations from now when 9/11 is far from a subject that many still avoid today.

  2. @iluvthemovies. I agree 100%. its not a "rob" movie at all, even though he does look mega good in this movie. I haven't bought it yet, but am thinking it might be a good one to add to the collection. and i am not a big, see it again and again kind of movie girl.

  4. @Nicole, u may decide this is the movie that has u watching it over and over at least in the beginning, because, gosh he looks so hot in this movie. Forget the Twilight Saga (I know the wrath of RPL commenters are upon me)lol, his acting and his look are impeccable in this movie IMHO.

  5. I love this movie as well. And besides: Rob doesn´t look so pale in this one :)
The less appealing part of the movie is, that he´s smoking all the time and I don´t like to see him doing that...

The DVD will be released on August, 30th. I have already ordered my copy. So then I will be able to watch it in english.
I do like his real voice much better, than the voice of the german translator. I have already seen it in english, once, but I have to admit, that the other guy (I can´t remember his name) is a little bit difficult to understand.

  6. Rob could have dropped this script when he became so famous but he believed in it and also wanted to come on as a producer. The movie is excellent and Rob is so good as Tyler. I have the DVD and have watched it numerous times. I have added it to my Rob collection which is growing.

  7. And i hope, i'll have the opportunity to buy this dvd in Hungary We (me and my robfan company) saw it on the premday here twice, and after it i saw it about 6 times in movie. A woman can dream to buy it in her country. But ifnot....I'll buy it in Austria or Germany or in France, and to the hell to the hungaian distributor

  8. @19Angie84, i'm always surprised that US films get voiceovers. If I were you, i'd much rather watch a movie with the original voices, with subtitles. As an american, i would never want to see a foreign film with a voiceover.

  10. @JA and 19Angie84, ITA w/ur comments about voiceovers. I laugh anytime I see the old martial arts films dubbed in English, it is laughable especially the movies w/Bruce Lee.
I cringe when I hear them speak.
    Give me subtitles anyday.

  11. @iluvthemovies, you are so right! He is at his hotness prime in this movie! The library scene is the killer for me. A MAZE ING!

We own the twilight and new moon DVDs but I only find myself watching it when it's on showtime! Ha! It was on again today. Watched the kissing scene and then switched it back to cartoons for my son.

  12. @Nicole, I know I am going to get pummeled, but I did not like him in NM, either his looks or his performance. I think it is the weakest of all his movies. Remember Me is on a whole different playing field when it comes to the the Twilight movies. Do u ever watch SNL w/Andy Samberg?
Let me know if u do because I will post a link that u will laugh you socks off if u appreciate that kind of humor.

ITA, new moon totally sucked compared to his other work. And his clothing was so ugly! But he made up fir it in eclipse!
Sure send any links you would like.

  16. Some way i disagree with you. My opinion is that Rob was good in NM,(and i like the flm fast forwarded) if you watch his facial expressions in the break scene. My heart has broken too with his. And at the reunion scene.... He was not too much in NM, it's the fault of the screenplay writer's and of course of SM's from our point of view (Robward in the centre)....and his clothes... sometime he said, the clothes were his choise, that shows how Bella remembered him in her memories...maybe compared his age ?

  17. @twmmy:
I totally agree with you! I nearly died when I saw the break scene I nearly died! When his eyes got mad because of the pain and he had to hide it from Bella...*cry*

I think the director of NM wanted all to look more "dark" so he overdid it with the makeup...
And: not the least there is not enough Rob in the movie...;-)

  18. @19Angie84 and Twmmy,
To me there is no right or wrong, it is dependent on your perception and expectation. They conducted a poll on another site and posed the question "what is your favorite Robert Pattinson movie". The winner was Remember Me overwhelmingly. One of the least favorite was New Moon. I felt the Break-Up scene was badly acted, but that is my perception only. Others will agree and others won't.
Remember Me just takes his acting to another level. Many of his fans and some critics agree that his performance of Tyler Hawkins was beautifully acted and I have to agree.

  19. @lluvthemovies, well I am not a techno savy girl so I will try to do what you said...I am glad to hear I am still your fav....

Do you know when I felt sad in Eclipse? The look from Edward after bella kissed jacob....Oh my God that look said everything he felt...he did not have to say a word. That killed me...

Yeh I always thought in NM they could have given some more time to Edward and Bella reconciliation at the end. Anyway that was my least favourite book anyway.

Love to all especially to my favs...

  20. Hi Mrs. Deen, they really IMO emasculated Edward in Eclipse, although, I think Rob's performance was better than any of the the other two movies. I was upset w/Bella when she did not look upset after she kissed Jacob. That is why I know these books will be remade because the movie versions failed to capture the magic that brought most of us to see these movies in the first place. I am not really a
Twilight movie fan, I did luv the first 3 books. Hated BD. I am a Rob fan. He is what brings me back here. His star shines bright like a supernova.

As far as being techno savvy, If it was not for Yaelfica, I would not know many of things I know now. If u have any problems, let me know. Hugs to all my Favs.

  21. I also DO love Remember Me and I DO love Roberts acting in this movie. It´s a very different character than all the others he acted.
On my private list RM and Twilight share the top-position :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, everybody has a list. My favourite is How to Be, he is very good in that too. And i share your opinion about his performing tyler, but not about edward in nm. we are different, but we have agreed in one. Rob is a talented young man, we wish him playing in more films, and wish him make an own cd.

  23. @twmmy: In Germany we have a popular saying: Translated it says: "your words in Gods ears"
That means as much as: I hope that your statement will fullfill ;-)...especially about the cd
