I am really looking forward to Rob's suburb acting with this character. He seems to be in such a happy place right now.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08854902335734983093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3845601595731402512.post-59369989177510603782015-09-22T15:23:26.132-04:002015-09-22T15:23:26.132-04:00“When you are choosing your roles, do you consider...“When you are choosing your roles, do you consider your fan base?

PATTINSON: "...I will think ‘Oh maybe I should do a commercial movie’ and then I just think, someone gave me a really great piece of advice... they said the only clients that are happy are the ones that just do what they want to do. … So I just kind of do everything for myself.”

That is such a mature and unusual attitude for an actor to have. His bank account gives him the luxury of choosing exactly what he wants to do, and who he wants to work with. Most actors don't have that luxury at 25, but he did, and it makes his films much more personal.

It also shows that he's not in show business for the fame -- he's not chasing awards or box office, he's put his quality of life before those kinds of shallow values. That shows so much maturity and that he recognizes the importance of living your life the way you want to, not the way society or anyone else thinks you should live it. It takes a strong person to do that. He's not easily influenced by peer pressure or the need to please others. He's making his own path and gets satisfaction from the work, not the accolades that go along with being an international superstar.

It also shows that the people at his agency aren't trying to use him to get a bigger commission. They have his best interests at heart, they want him to be happy. He isn't just a commodity to them, someone they can sell to the highest bidder for some dumb comic book franchise or action movie. It's good to know he's surrounded himself with people he can trust. Smart man.
